Well, I can try that. The main reason for me to use claws is, I want to share my Mailfolders with different machines. As far as I know, there's just no mh-format mail-application on osx (since evolution stopped in 2006). So I would have to switch back to the mbox-format.

Greetings,
Stephan

A dmg would indeed be very nice. It's quite an effort to do so though, as claws depends on a lot of 'non-osx-y' things (gtk, xwindows etc.).

Is the claws version that is available through the macports collection perhaps an option as "middle ground"? It will still be compiled on your machine, but with the port system, some of the complexity of doing that is hidden.

Hi. I'm also no programmer, but a simple user, using both debian and osx and I would also like your mac-port of claws to be available not in source but as a dmg, if possible. In questions of useability with a high number of emails, apps like thunderbird are really no option since they keep getting slower and slower.

Cheers,
Stephan

I've just tried this on snow leopard 10.6.2, no joy whatsoever. Any idea if this breaks with 10.6.2?

I'm using the darklooks theme pretty much unmodified I think. I customised a couple of colors in claws mail itself in the preference dialog, but that's about it. You should be able to find the darklooks theme pretty easily, it's fairly common.

Looks really good. I imagine you created a custom theme?

Any chance of making your hard work available for us plebs who wish to use claws mail but have not the programming prowess?

many thanks
